Stanley Ekeh A.K.A Stan-One(d lyrical inferno)

2. For those hearing of you for the first time, how would you describe yourself as an artist?

God fearing,easy going lyricist and song writer.

3. How long have you been involved in making Music?

Been involved in music over a decade now,but started recording professionally in 2008.

4. How did you get into Music? And what inspired you to take music seriously?

Got into music with a group called “Da Mustaseeds”,which comprises of “beat-boxers” and “rappers”

5. Where do you get Inspiration for your Music?

Apart from top-notch music and lyricist I listen to,I’ll say my inspiration sure comes from above.

6. Are you signed to a record label?

Presently I’m yet to be signed into any record label.

7. What is life like as an UpComing Artist?

Life as an upcoming artist sure is tough by the minute,filled with challenges,but I’ve learn to always take life itself one day at a time.

8. Have you done an album yet? If no, have you got any project you’re working on at the moment?

Don’t have an album yet and,Yes,I’m working extra-hard to ensure this is done.Recorded a couple of demos in 2010.Still recording as we speak.

9. What is it about you that sets you apart from other artists?

The ability to stay original.

10. What has been the highlight of your career so far?

That would be when my smashing singles titled “Fakerz” hit the streets and radiowaves in 2010.

11. If you had to work with one person in the industry, who would it be and why?

“ill-Bliss” and that’s because of his originality+delivery on the MIC.

12. Besides music, what other activities do you participate in?

I work with a construction firm.

14. What are your biggest challenges?

Making head-way in the industry.

15. Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Well,I see myself topping charts across Africa for a start and beyond.

16. What is your opinion of the current state of Nigerian music?

Well,can’t say much,but I’m amazed at how much we embrace music and styles especially when served fresh.

17. Any plans to expand across Africa and the world?

O’s every artist’s dream…I would so love to.

18. What is the greatest thing about working in the music industry? And what would you change if you had the opportunity?

That would be working under pressure,producers keep telling you to do what other people do to protect their selfish interests(though it’s an art of making money)I don’t fancy taking advantage of people for the love of money.I believe strongly in production of good+quality music.

19. Throughout your career so far, what’s the best advice that someone has given you? And what advice would you give to fellow UpComing artists?

Do ever give up that dream…I would equally say the same.

20. What do you think about what the “Alaba Hits” company is doing for all the upcoming artists, promoting their music?

I feel promo is the next best thing that can happen to any artist,so as the platform serves it’s purpose,it remains a plus.
