(1) What’s your Name?

Ans: We are Don L and Donna T. We are both known as God’s Own Radicals (GOR)

(2) For those hearing of you for the first time, how would you describe yourself as an artist?  

Ans: A Duo spreading the good news of Christ through urban music art forms

(3) How long have you been involved in making Music?

Ans: GOR started in 2001

(4) How did you get into Music? And what inspired you to take music seriously?

Ans: For Don L, I got into music in secondary school. Donna T got into music at age 7 in Christ Chapel.

(5) Where do you get Inspiration for your Music?

Ans: God, things we experience and things going on in the society

(6) Are you signed to a record label? 

Ans: We are not signed to any record label, we have set up one to manage ourselves.

(7) What is life like as an UpComing Artist?

Ans: It’s a hard road to walk, One needs determination and persistence to walk through it.

(8) Have you done an album yet? If no, have you got any project you’re working on at the moment?

Ans: Yes, We have released two albums, Under Construction in 2010 and TwentyDozen:The Call in 2012. A mixtape titled Unleashed Vol 1 was also released in 2011.

(9) What is it about you that sets you apart from other artists?

Ans: Our unique combination and sound.

(10) What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Ans: The number of people we have had to opportunity to stand before to minister in music

(11) If you had to work with one person in the industry, who would it be and why?

Ans: Right now? We are already working with those we want to work with: Dr Sankty, E Twinz, Rooftop MCs, we could also add Frank Edwards to the mix in due time.

(12) Besides music, what other activities do you participate in?

Ans: We both have regular 9 to 5 jobs that keep us very busy.

Ans: GOR -Living my Life, So Kleva – Not Bad Enough, Ekeng Bassey -You Are

(14) What are your biggest challenges?

Ans: Funding.

(15) Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Ans: Reaching out to more people with the message of Christ through our music.

(16) What is your opinion of the current state of Nigerian music?

Ans: Growing.

(17) Any plans to expand across Africa and the world? Definitely!

Ans: The message must be global!

(18) What is the greatest thing about working in the music industry? And what would you change if you had the opportunity?

Ans: The total absence of structures.

(19) Throughout your career so far, what’s the best advice that someone has given you? And what advice would you give to fellow UpComing artists?  

Ans: The best advice has been to learn to stick to your convictions and balance everything.

(20) What do you think about what the “Alaba Hits” company is doing for all the upcoming artists, promoting their music?

Ans: It’s a great initiative and one that should be encouraged, sustained and broadened.
