(1) What’s your Name?

Alo john stage name oyika Africa.

(2) For those hearing of you for the first time, how would you describe yourself as an artist?

I’m chocolate in complexion, tall in height, friendly to people, learning from people.

(3) How long have you been involved in making Music?

l have been in making music right from my secondary school days, but professionally last year (2014).

(4) How did you get into Music? And what inspired you to take music seriously?

l got into music when I was still a young boy from school days, but I decided to take music seriously because that is the only gift I discovered as a talent in me.

(5) Where do you get Inspiration for your Music?

I get my inspiration from God.

(6) Are you signed to a record label?

Not yet.

(7) What is life like as an UpComing Artist?

Life as an upcoming artist is not an easy one passing through stress and discouragement, but l don’t want to give up because I want to keep my dreams alive to eventually become a legend.

(8) Have you done an album yet? If no, have you got any project you’re working on at the moment?

I have no album yet, but I have a project which I’m working on and will be launched in the future by God’s grace.

(9) What is it about you that sets you apart from other artists?

It is my style…I make unique music which is originated by myself because I have no photocopy.

(10) What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Basically I would say all the songs I have recorded so far and shows I have done as well.

(11) If you had to work with one person in the industry, who would it be and why?

None other than 2face.

(12) Besides music, what other activities do you participate in?

Playing football.

(13) Name 3 songs that we would expect to find on your iPod or Music Player

Freedom, manoeveur, fly.

(14) What are your biggest challenges?

My main challenge in muisc right now is money and connection like I’m about to shoot a video but no money with me.

(15) Where do you see yourself five years from now?

I want to see myself in Austria in five years from now.

(16) What is your opinion of the current state of Nigerian music?

The guys are trying in de industry they’re doing great good work.

(17) Any plans to expand across Africa and the world?

Yes I’m planning across Africa by his grace.

(18) What is the greatest thing about working in the music industry? And what would you change if you had the opportunity?

To make good music if I’m opportuned to send my message across the world.

(19) Throughout your career so far, what’s the best advice that someone has given you? And what advice would you give to fellow UpComing artists?

The best advice somebody has ever given me, they told me to work hard and keep my dreams alive, to stay focused to succeed, Upcoming artists should stay focused as well, hard working, stay away from drugs, no photocopy be yourself and wait for your time, no short cut to success.

(20) What do you think about what the “Alaba Hits” company is doing for all the upcoming artists, promoting their music?

What Alaba Hits is doing for upcoming artists is great work, any good music company should do to help artists, more blessings.
